Bethany Home has announced that Kris Erickson has accepted the position of CEO for the Lindsborg based not-for-profit continuous care community. After an extensive search process, the selection was finalized on August 15th. Slated to begin work at Bethany Home on September 15, Erickson is concluding four years of service as CEO of Salem Home in Hillsboro, KS.
Raised in the western Kansas town of Oberlin, Kris is a graduate of Fort Hays State University where he earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology. He also holds an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. His transition to long term care came in 2001 when he became a Licensed Adult Care Home Administrator. Prior to becoming the CEO of Salem Home, he was the Administrator at Wellsville Manor in Wellsville, KS and Riverside Plaza (now Residence 600) in Salina, KS.
Kris’s wife Farah is a Bethany College Alumni and works at Lindsborg Community Hospital as their Laboratory Director. When asked about his appointment as CEO, Erickson said, “This really is a dream come true. I have heard wonderful stories about Bethany Home since I became an Administrator, and I have loved Lindsborg since moving here. I’m eager to become more involved with this great community.”
